Xavier Tu
Xavier Tu, born and raised in Toronto, is a celebrated choreographer, dancer, and movement director. His work, known for its distinct style, has made a global impact. Coming from a family deeply enamored with dance and music in St. Catharines, Ontario, Xavier's passion for dance was ignited early. The first season of "America’s Best Dance Crew," showcasing AAPI artists, greatly inspired him. He began his dance education through online tutorials and continued to develop his skills throughout his academic life. After graduation, Xavier initially pursued a conventional career but later chose to follow his passion for dance full-time.
His professional journey is highlighted by his contributions to the Disney "Zombies" series, "Sneakerella," and Netflix's "Work It," along with other television appearances. Notably, his live performances include the FIFA World Cup 2023, where he performed in the half-time and closing ceremonies. His talent also extends to NBA and CFL games, where he danced for teams such as the Toronto Raptors and the Toronto Argos.
Xavier's creative expertise is not limited to the stage. He has enhanced numerous promotional campaigns for major brands like Sportchek and Wal-Mart, showcasing his versatile creativity. His choreographic work in music videos has seen him collaborate with artists such as Jon Vinyl and Crown Lands, exploring various creative avenues.
